Telford Ice Skating Club has been at Telford Ice Rink for over twenty five years. We were set up by a group of parents and are still run by a committee of volunteers working with the skaters, coaches and the rink to offer a friendly, supportive and safe environment for our skaters.

We are a non-profit organisation set up with the aim of promoting Figure and Dance skating in the Telford area giving our existing and new members a friendly and supportive environment in which they can learn and improve their skating skills.

Our skaters range from young juniors who have just passed their Skate UK level 6 or Penguins level 9  to senior up to NISA level 10. Our memberships is made up of children, young people and  adults. We run a Junior and Senior club twice a week on a Monday and Thursday evening.

As well as our club sessions we also hold regular in-house competitions for Juniors and Seniors covering both figure and dance. Our annual Gala gives our skaters a chance to showcase their routines and work as a club. We also have on-ice parties at Halloween and Christmas as well as an annual sponsored skate organised by one of our coaches.

In 2013 we held our first Awards Ceremony as part of our Christmas Party. This was a great success, enjoyed by our skaters and their families and something we plan to continue as an annual event.

We are also very proud to hold an annual Open event where skaters from around the country come to compete. In February 2014 we held our first IJS competition, the first rink in the Midlands to undertake the new competition format.  The competition was a huge success with over 35 rinks from around the UK taking part.

New members are always welcome. Please click on our Membership page for more information or come along for a free trial and speak to one of our friendly committee members at the rink.
